Eastern Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Center (EPVMC) in Allentown, PA, seeks a board-certified or board-eligible Veterinary Cardiologist to join our team. The role focuses on advanced cardiovascular care for dogs and cats, offering echocardiography, ECGs, and comprehensive management for heart disease in a collaborative, referral-friendly hospital.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree required.
• Must be board-certified or board-eligible in veterinary cardiology.
• Ability to obtain VT Veterinary License.
• Preference for candidates with interventional procedures experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiovascular care for dogs and cats, including diagnostics and treatment.
• Perform echocardiograms and ECGs and interpret results.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for heart disease.
• Collaborate with emergency veterinarians and other specialists.
• Educate owners and build strong relationships.
• Coordinate with referring veterinarians for continuity of care.
• Contribute to a collaborative hospital culture and update practices.

What You’ll Do

• Provide exceptional cardiovascular care by diagnosing, treating, and managing cardiac conditions in dogs and cats.
• Perform and interpret advanced cardiac diagnostics, including echocardiograms, electrocardiograms (ECGs), and other cardiovascular imaging.
• Develop individualized treatment plans for patients with congenital and acquired heart disease.
• Collaborate with emergency veterinarians and other specialists to provide comprehensive, coordinated patient care.
• Build strong relationships with pet owners through clear communication, education, and compassionate care.
• Partner with referring veterinarians to ensure seamless communication and continuity of care.
• Contribute to a positive, collaborative hospital culture while supporting the growth and development of the cardiology service.
• Stay current with advancements in veterinary cardiology and incorporate best practices into patient care.
