Vickery Place Animal Hospital in Dallas, TX is seeking a Veterinary Assistant or Technician to join our dedicated team. In this role you will support veterinarians, care for patients, and interact with clients in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician
• Passion for animal care and patient comfort
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and learn new clinical skills
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Credentialed Veterinary Technicians welcome to apply

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care for hospitalized and outpatient patients
• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Prepare patients for surgery and other procedures
• Obtain patient histories and monitor vital signs
• Collect blood and other laboratory samples
• Assist with diagnostics and in-house laboratory testing
• Support radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, and other diagnostic services
• Administer medications as directed and assist with anesthesia and surgery when trained
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Communicate with clients about patient care and treatment instructions
• Keep treatment areas clean, organized, and safe
• Collaborate with doctors and teammates to provide exceptional care
