Job summary

Lookout Valley Veterinary Clinic in Chattanooga, Tennessee, is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join a compassionate, collaborative team. This role offers opportunities to learn, grow, and make a meaningful impact daily as you support veterinarians and technicians.

You will assist in examinations and procedures, restrain patients, prepare rooms, monitor vital signs, administer medications, collect samples, and educate clients on preventive care.

Qualifications

• Previous veterinary assistant experience in a veterinary hospital.

Responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians and veterinary technicians during examinations and medical procedures.
• Safely restraining and handling canine and feline patients.
• Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Monitoring patient comfort and recording vital signs.
• Administering medications and treatments as directed.
• Collecting laboratory samples and assisting with diagnostics.
• Supporting surgical and dental procedures.
• Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe hospital environment.
• Educating clients on preventive care and discharge instructions.
• Collaborating with teammates to provide exceptional client service and patient care.
