Mission Pet Health is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join Blairsville Animal Hospital, a full‑service small animal practice. You’ll support veterinarians in daily care, exams, and procedures while delivering compassionate care to diverse pets in a busy clinical setting.

You’ll work in a supportive team with access to internal education, career development, and resources designed to help you grow toward leadership or specialty goals.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; commensurate on-the-job training available.
  • Calm, efficient approach in fast-paced clinical settings with composure under pressure.
  • Confidence handling pets of various sizes and temperaments; strong patient care instincts.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills essential for team coordination.
  • Fundamental veterinary skills across lab, pharmacy, nursing and radiology are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide essential patient care as a key member of the medical team.
  • Be the go-to support for veterinarians and technicians to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Create a positive client experience through scheduling, payments, and communications.
  • Maintain a safe, clean hospital environment and handle basic clinic upkeep.
