Veterinary Assistant

We’re hiring a Veterinary Assistant for our growing animal hospital.

Salary: $17 - $22 / hour

How You’ll Make a Difference

  • Assist the doctor with medical procedures under supervision, creating positive impressions and building client trust.
  • Communicate with clients regarding their pet’s care, answer questions, educate on treatments, and obtain consent.
  • Deliver excellent customer service to clients and their pets.
  • Manage medical records using practice management software.
  • Perform tasks such as dispensing medication, x-rays, blood draws, catheter placements, sample collection, treatments, diagnostic equipment operation, vaccinations, and animal restraint.
  • Set up, clean, and maintain medical equipment.
  • Assist with cleaning all hospital areas.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Interact compassionately with animals of various types.
  • Have strong communication skills.
  • Be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
  • Certified veterinary technician (preferred).
  • Associate degree in veterinary assisting (preferred).
