Pieper Veterinary in Marlborough, CT is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. You will assist veterinarians during examinations, handle basic animal care, and support the clinic’s daily operations with a focus on patient comfort and owner communication.

The role emphasizes teamwork, patient care, and the ability to multitask in a busy environment. Prior veterinary experience and familiarity with animal handling are preferred; training and ongoing CE

About You

We strongly believe that veterinary medicine is a team sport, and our ideal candidate is someone who feels the same.

The ideal candidate will assist veterinarians during examinations and procedures, provide basic animal care, and feel comfortable with animal handling and restraint, basic surgery preparation, and assisting Veterinary Technicians in a clinical setting. Additional responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness throughout the medical facility and supporting the efficient operation of the veterinary practice. Experience with EzyVet is a plus but is not required.

Schedule

This is a part-time position:

• Thursday - 8am-6pm
• Friday - 8am-6pm
• Saturday - 8am-2pm
