Job summary

VCA Veterinary Specialist of CT in West Hartford, CT is seeking a per diem Veterinary Assistant to join our 24-7 general, emergency and specialty hospital. This role will be running anesthesia for our general practice cases including spays/neuters, mass removals, and dentals.

As a member of the VCA team, you will help create a positive, low-stress atmosphere for clients and patients while delivering outstanding client care and exceptional patient treatment.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting anesthesia in small animal patients.
• GP practice exposure preferred.
• Able to work weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist in anesthesia during surgeries and procedures.
• Provide compassionate client education.
• Maintain a clean, safe hospital environment.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and technicians.

Job Type

Full Time weekend rotation required.

Pay Range

$19 - $23 / hr based on skill set and experience.
