Payson Family Pet Hospital in Payson, UT is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to support exceptional client and patient care across hospital services, including exams, surgery, dentistry, and outpatient procedures.

Join a fast-paced, team-oriented practice that values dependable multitasking, professional communication, and compassionate care. Compensation ranges between $16 and $21 per hour with a flexible schedule, Monday–Friday and rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel assistant, or related role.
• Proficiency in safe animal handling and restraint for dogs and cats of varying sizes.
• Knowledge of basic veterinary terminology and patient care principles.
• Ability to assist with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures.
• Ability to maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.

Responsibilities

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
• Build positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service.
• Maintain clean, organized, and prepared exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces.
