Job summary

VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital is seeking an Overnight Veterinary Assistant to join our Emergency team, providing high-quality patient care around the clock. The role involves anesthesia monitoring, patient prep, and collaborative support with veterinarians and specialists in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a 7pm–7am full-time schedule, with weekend shifts available. Compensation ranges from $20 to $30 per hour, based on experience, licensure status, and skill set.

Responsibilities

• Monitor anesthesia during procedures and assist veterinarians.
• Perform venipuncture and IVC placement as needed.
• Assist with radiology procedures with emphasis on safety.
• Provide compassionate care to patients and support to the team.

VCA Hollywood Animal Hospital is growing! In order to better service the people and pets in our community we are adding overnight Veterinary Assistant to our Emergency team.

We are seeking the right person to join our one of a kind, fast paced, general, specialty and emergency practice.

Connect with us and work shoulder to shoulder with general practitioners, specialists and the most dedicated technical and support staff to provide exemplary patient care 24/7/365 days a year.

Potential Schedule : Full time, overnights 7pm – 7am. Weekend shifts are first available.

Compensation : $20.00 – $30.00 / hr based on experience, skill set, and licensure status.

Veterinary Technician Duties Include

• Anesthesia monitoring
• Full Technician Skill Utilization
• Collecting patient histories & physical exams

• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
