The VA2 will deliver emergency nursing care, follow doctor orders, and manage patient care from triage through discharge, transfer, or euthanasia.

DoveLewis Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Hospital is hiring a full-time Experienced Veterinary Assistants (Level 2) to join our Emergency and Critical Care team.
As a Veterinary Assistant Level 2 (VA2), you will be responsible for providing our clients with a top‑notch experience as well as responsible for providing emergency nursing care to patients through compliance with the attending doctor's orders. You will be responsible for patient care from triage to treatments, discharge, transfer, or euthanasia. This includes participation in upkeep of cleanliness of the hospital and kennels and assisting doctors (DVMs) and technicians as needed.
A genuine love of and respect for all animals is required, as is an appreciation of the human‑animal bond.
$23-$26 per hour depending on experience, education and certificates. This position also qualifies for overnight and weekend differential pay for applicable shifts.
This position will work a 3/4 rotating schedules with 10 hour shifts including 1 weekend day per week. This means you have a consistent schedule that makes planning the rest of your life easy, and you get 3 or 4 days off in a row every week!
