Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Self-starter, able to multitask and a team player.
• Genuinely enjoys working with animals and can handle them when stressed, ill or in pain.
• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary assistant role.
• Ability to meet physical demands: lift up to 40 lbs., assist with lifting patients.
• Walks/stands for extended periods; works in varied positions.
• Teamwork approach and ability to work with all hospital staff levels.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient care alongside veterinarians during routine exams and procedures.
• Communicate with clients, explaining treatments and providing care guidance.
• Collect samples and run basic lab tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
• Maintain supplies and keep the clinic clean and safe for patients and staff.
• Educate clients on proper pet care including nutrition, grooming, and preventative health.
