PAWSitive Veterinary of New York is a full-service small animal practice in Brooklyn dedicated to high-quality preventive care and diagnostics. Our team collaborates on lab work, imaging, surgery prep, and daily nursing care while communicating clearly with clients.

Qualifications

• An experienced Veterinary Assistant with a minimum of 1-year experience preferred.
• Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator
• Must be able to properly restrain pets.
• Proficient in sample collection, obtaining medical histories, processing laboratory tests and radiographs, andanesthesia monitoring are a bonus!
• Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.

Responsibilities

• Pet restraint and triage of incoming patients.
• Collection and analysis of lab samples.
• Diagnostic imaging and radiographs.
• Management and nursing care of medical and hospitalized cases.
• Administration of medications and anesthetic management.
• Effective communication of treatment plans with clients.
