Job summary

Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital in O’Fallon, MO is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians in daily tasks, including cleaning, restraining, preparing surgery suites, taking vital signs, and client communication. This full-time role requires at least 2 years of veterinary experience and a high school diploma.

You will work Monday–Friday with some Saturday shifts, gain hands-on experience with dogs, cats, and pocket pets, and contribute to a culture of care with

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
Strong understanding of veterinary medical protocols and hospital operations.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to all patients.
Greet patients and owners, take vitals and lead them to examination room.
Triage patients, assist with physical exams and medications as directed by LVTs/DVMs.
Assist doctors and technicians with medications and patient restraint.
Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs.
Maintain medical records and hospital equipment.
