Job summary

Gunbarrel Veterinary Hospital in Boulder, CO is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join a five-DVM team dedicated to high-quality small animal care. You'll support clinicians in patient care, client communications, and clinic upkeep, with opportunities to grow toward credentialed technician roles or leadership within Mission Pet Health.

Your duties include essential patient care, assisting the medical team, scheduling and payments support, and maintaining a clean, safe hospital environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Calm and efficient approach in a fast-paced environment.
• Confident handling of pets of all sizes and temperaments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Fundamental veterinary skills in lab, pharmacy, nursing, and radiology are a strong asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide Essential Patient Care: assist the medical team with hands-on care and ensure compassionate treatment of all animals.
• Be the Go-To Support for the Medical Team: anticipate needs to ensure a smooth, efficient workflow.
• Create a Positive Client Experience: assist with scheduling, payments, and communications with a courteous approach.
• Ensure a Safe and Clean Environment: maintain hospital and equipment to uphold high standards.
