VCA Bay Area Animal Hospital in Oakland, CA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our 7-doctor GP and exotics practice. We see all mammals, including rabbits, and you will support our Doctors and Technician team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.

This full-time role offers a four-day work week (4 x 10 hours) and competitive compensation ($21-30/hr) with full benefits including medical, dental, vision, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary assistant or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain medical records.
• Prepare surgical suite and surgical patients.
• Fill prescriptions.
• Perform laboratory work and diagnostic imaging.
• Provide compassionate care for boarded and hospitalized pets.
