VCA Laguna Niguel Animal Hospital in Laguna Niguel, CA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant for a full-time role. The position requires working 8-hour shifts, including Saturdays, with a schedule of 5/8.

Qualifications

• Obtaining medical histories.
• Proper animal restraint and handling.
• Administering SQ and IM injections and SQ fluids.
• Radiographic positioning.
• Filling prescriptions.
• Surgery pack sterilization.
• Anal gland expression, nail trims, wound care.
• Monitoring hospitalized, sedated, and post-op patients.
• Working independently and as part of a team.
• A positive and helpful attitude and a willingness to learn.
• Client communication.
• Creating and reviewing cost estimates with clients.

Responsibilities
