Job summary

Arlington Animal Hospital in Arlington, VA is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team of five veterinarians and supportive staff. Wage: $19 - $25 based on experience. Responsibilities include venipuncture, vaccines discussion with clients, and care in our IDEXX lab and Avimark system.

Four-day work week with rotating Saturdays; Sundays off. Minimum 1 year experience in a veterinary hospital required; strong patient care and team collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a veterinary hospital.
• Proficient in venipuncture for dogs and cats.
• Knowledge of canine and feline vaccines and core vs lifestyle vaccines.

Responsibilities

• Provide essential patient care as part of a collaborative medical team.
• Assist veterinarians and technicians during exams, procedures, and treatments.
• Maintain clean, safe clinical environment and help with client communication.
