Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a veterinary assistant or in animal care.
Safe animal handling and low-stress restraint for dogs, cats, and exotics.
Excellent client communication and ability to educate clients.
Assist with exams, surgical set-up, treatments, blood draws, and outpatient procedures.

Responsibilities

Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
Provide safe, gentle patient handling and restraint during care.
Prepare patients, equipment, and treatment areas for appointments and procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
Build positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service.
Maintain clean, organized exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces.
