Destination Pet’s Dugan's Veterinary Hospital in Aurora, CO is hiring a Veterinary Assistant for flexible, part-time hours. You will support veterinarians in compassionate nursing care, prepare instruments, maintain records, and assist reception with check-in/out and phone support.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year clinic experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays; must lift up to 40 pounds and restrain animals. Pay is $20/hour DOE with DailyPay access.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians to provide compassionate nursing care.
• Prepare, clean, maintain, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Fill prescriptions as directed by a veterinarian and explain directions.
• Assist receptionists with check-in and checkout procedures and provide telephone support.
• Perform various laboratory tests.
• Keep our facilities clean and well maintained.
