Job summary

Mt. Pleasant Veterinary Clinic in Chesapeake, VA is hiring a friendly Veterinary Assistant to join our fast-paced, team-oriented practice. Both full-time and part-time hours are available, with a salary range of $15-$18 per hour based on experience.

You will assist veterinarians and technicians, obtain histories and vitals, restrain animals, and help with client communications. A supportive environment emphasizes learning and growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and handling.
• Obtain patient history and vitals.
• Restrain animals during exams and procedures.
• Clean and sterilize equipment and exam rooms.
• Feed, bathe, and walk patients as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized hospital environment.
• Support clients with check-ins, discharges, and general questions.
• Perform receptionist shifts and cross-trained duties.
