Chewelah Veterinary Clinic is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team and support exceptional experiences for clients and patients across all aspects of hospital care.

This versatile position offers opportunities across patient care, client service, surgery, dentistry, and outpatient procedures, with a focus on teamwork, safety, and compassionate client communication in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel assistant, or related role preferred.
• Proficiency in safe animal handling and restraint for dogs and cats of varying sizes.
• Ability to assist with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures.
• Ability to maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols.
• Compassionate, professional communication with clients and team members.

Responsabilités

• Support efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflows.
• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry.
• Provide safe, gentle patient handling and restraint during outpatient and procedural care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
• Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces.
