VCA Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center of Kalamazoo is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our ER team. We operate 24/7/365 in a new state-of-the-art facility and offer a flexible schedule to support wellness and work-life balance.

As part of the ER, you will assist doctors, perform hands-free radiology, and help deliver compassionate care, collaborating with a diverse group of professionals across hospital services.

Qualifications

• Experienced veterinary assistant with ER exposure.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
• Strong communication with the medical team and clients.

VCA Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center of Kalamazoo is now open in our new state of the art facility!

We are a 24/7/365 emergency, critical care and specialty practice, located in Portage, MI and we are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our ER team.

Veterinary Assistant Duties:

• Collecting patient histories & physical exams
• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
• Providing compassionate care for all patients

Compensation: $18 - $31 / hour dependent on experience and skill set

Schedule: Rotating

The successful candidate will be a believer in the possibilities of high quality veterinary medicine and patient care—with the expertise and technical know-how to make them happen.

In this position you will be supporting our Doctors team by creating a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our clients and patients.
