Fort Collins Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Fort Collins, CO is seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians and Veterinary Assistants to join our fast-paced emergency team. You will support veterinarians in emergency exams, surgeries, anesthesia monitoring, and critical care, with opportunities to use advanced diagnostics and ICU-level care.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of veterinary experience required.
• Emergency experience preferred.
• LVT/RVT/CVT encouraged, but not required.
• Strong clinical skills in anesthesia monitoring and patient care.
• Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced ER environment.
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians in emergency exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Assist with surgeries, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care.
• Provide nursing care and first aid to critical and recovering patients.
• Monitor vitals (BP, ECG, SpO₂, EtCO₂) and interpret results.
• Collect samples and perform basic in-house diagnostics.
• Operate radiology and other diagnostic equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments as directed.
• Document patient care and medical records.
• Maintain clean, organized, sterile treatment areas.
• Collaborate with teammates to support patient flow.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of veterinary experience
• Emergency experience preferred
• LVT/RVT/CVT encouraged, but not required
• Strong technical skills, including anesthesia monitoring and patient care
• Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced ER environment
• Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
