Job summary

River Hills Pet Care Hospital in Mankato, MN seeks a Veterinary Assistant to support veterinarians and technicians with daily tasks. You'll help with equipment prep, feeding, restraining, and basic clinical duties, while delivering compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Willing to train the right candidate; veterinary experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients and assist veterinarians and technicians with daily tasks.
• Greet patients and owners, take weight and vital signs, and help with examinations.
• Triage patients, assist with physical exams, and help administer medications as directed.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients; assist with patient restraint when needed.
• Maintain equipment, cleanliness, and safety of the hospital environment; manage basic clerical tasks.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with inventory and supplies.
