Responsibilities include patient care, restraint, labs, radiographs, drug administration, and client communication. The role requires 18+, HS diploma, and 3+ years in veterinary medicine.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Energetic, self-motivated and punctual ideal.
• Tech savvy with a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients.
• Greet patients and owners, record basic vitals on arrival.
• Triage patients, assist with exams, and support licensed staff.
• Calm and soothe anxious patients.
• Assist doctors and technicians with medications and restraints.
• Perform lab tests and radiographs as directed.
• Operate and maintain hospital equipment (EKG, pumps, monitors).
• Fill prescriptions and document controlled substances securely.
• Feed and monitor patient appetites and report abnormalities.
• Educate clients about insurance, wellness, and plans.
• Maintain hospital cleanliness and proper chemical usage.
• Bath and groom overnight patients before discharge.
• Follow safety and wellness regulations of the hospital.
• Maintain accurate medical records; follow directions from DVM/LVT.
• Show up for full-time shifts and be reliable.
• Promote hospital products and services; support the organization.
• Respond promptly to directions from DVM/LVT and staff.
