You’ll work closely within NAVTA guidelines, performing tasks under veterinary supervision while maintaining hospital standards that keep pets safe and the treatment areas clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Certificate of completion from a NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be able to perform NAVTA-approved veterinary assistant tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure safety and quality care.
• Maintain the flow of patients and communicate with veterinarians and vet techs.
• Carry out procedures that do not require veterinarian or vet tech assistance.
• Educate clients about preventive care and wellness plans.
• Mentor other hospital team members.
