Grace Animal Hospital is hiring an Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our dedicated team. We’re a four-doctor general practice with a supportive culture and modern equipment including digital and dental radiography, ultrasound, and therapeutic laser treatments.

Qualifications

• Previous Veterinary Assistant experience in a clinical setting.
• Strong patient care and animal-handling skills.
• Excellent client communication and education skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and the medical team with patient exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Provide compassionate, high-quality care to canine, feline, and small mammal patients.
• Safely handle and restrain patients while prioritizing their comfort and well-being.
• Obtain thorough patient histories, vitals, and other information to support patient assessments.
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed and appropriate to training.
• Assist with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection.
• Collect and process laboratory samples and assist with in-house diagnostic testing.
• Assist with digital and dental radiographs and anesthesia monitoring.
