Veterinary Assistant
Job Summary: The Veterinary Assistant supports veterinarians and veterinary technicians, ensuring the safety of pets, clients, and associates, and continuity of quality care.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional, efficient, and exceptional service and maintain patient flow.
- Communicate with veterinarians and vet techs.
- Perform or set up procedures that do not require veterinary or vet tech assistance.
- Maintain hospital standards, keep exam rooms and labs clean and organized.
- Educate clients about the Optimum Wellness Plans and the importance of preventive care.
- Mentor other members of the hospital team.
Qualifications
- Certificate of completion from a NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant program or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to perform required skills of NAVTA‑approved veterinary assistant programs at a level that aids in the efficiency of the practice.

Pay Range
$16.79 - $21.46 hourly, based on experience, skill level, and education, and may vary by location or minimum wage laws.
