Job summary

College Road Animal Hospital in Wilmington, NC seeks a Veterinary Assistant to join our five-vet team. You will provide essential patient care, assist the medical team, and help ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced small-animal practice.

You will support scheduling, payments, and client communications, maintain a clean, safe hospital, and contribute to ongoing education and high-quality patient outcomes. We offer a collaborative environment with opportunities for growth and mentorship.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Calm, efficient approach in fast-paced environments.
  • Confidence in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Fundamental veterinary skills in labs, pharmacy, nursing, and radiology are a strong asset.

  • Provide Essential Patient Care: be a key player in the health of our patients, assisting the medical team with hands-on care and ensuring compassionate treatment.
  • Be the Go-To Support for the Medical Team: anticipate the needs of veterinarians and technicians to keep workflow smooth and efficient.

Job Description

Your Impact as a Veterinary Assistant
  • Provide Essential Patient Care: You'll be a key player in the health of our patients, assisting the medical team with hands-on care and ensuring every animal is treated with compassion and respect.
  • Be the Go-To Support for the Medical Team: You'll be the backbone of the clinic, anticipating the needs of veterinarians and technicians to ensure a smooth, efficient, and collaborative workflow.
