Job summary

VCA White Lake Animal Hospital in White Lake, MI is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our 3-doctor practice. You will assist veterinarians and technicians, take patient histories, restrain animals, prepare exam rooms, and help with radiographs and basic in-house diagnostics in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.

This full-time role includes rotating Saturdays, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for mentorship and growth as you contribute to high-quality animal care and client

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and technicians with exams and procedures
• Take patient histories and perform TPRs (temperature, pulse, respiration)
• Restrain animals safely and compassionately
• Prepare and clean exam rooms
• Assist with radiographs, lab sample collection, and basic in-house diagnostics
• Maintain accurate medical records and support charting
• Provide client education and ensure excellent service during visits
• Support surgery prep and recovery as needed
• Help maintain a clean, stocked, and organized hospital environment

$17.00 - $21.00/hour and pay range is negotiable based on experience, education, skills, and credentials.

What You'll Do (Day-to-Day Responsibilities):
