Job summary

VCA Tomball Veterinary Hospital in Tomball, TX is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This role offers a 5 x 8-hour shift schedule with rotating Saturdays, working alongside vets and technicians to deliver compassionate care.

You will help with exams, treatments, and daily hospital operations in a welcoming, educational environment. The position emphasizes teamwork, patient welfare, and professional growth within the VCA/Mars Veterinary Health network.

Responsibilities

• Restrain and safely handle pets for exams and treatments
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas
• Assist doctors and technicians with appointments and procedures
• Collect patient histories and support client communication
• Feed, walk, and monitor hospitalized pets
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital
• Sterilize instruments and prepare surgical packs
• Assist with laboratory samples and diagnostics
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Deliver compassionate care to patients and clients every day

Compensation

$15.00 – $20.00/hour

Pay range is negotiable based on experience, education, skills, and credentials.
