VCA Old Marple Animal Hospital in Springfield, PA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant/Exam Room Technician to support a busy multi-doctor practice. You will help create a low-stress environment, take patient histories, restrain animals, communicate with clients, and assist with routine procedures and lab work.

The role emphasizes patient care, medical recordkeeping, and education for clients, with training available for toe nail trims, ear cleanings, injections, and blood draws.

Competenze

• Formal veterinary assistant training or equivalent experience.
• Experience handling dogs and cats and restraining animals.
• Ability to communicate with clients and document patient history.

VCA Old Marple Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our well-established, multi-doctor, 24-hour emergency/general practice in Springfield, Pennsylvania as an Exam Room Tech.

About the Role

As Veterinary Technician or Assistant, you will help create and maintain a positive, low-stress atmosphere for our patients and clients. Some of the duties you will be responsible for include:

• Obtain a history on a sick/well patient
• Restrain a cat/dog
• Feel comfortable talking to clients/making phone calls
• Toe nail trims (can train)
• Ear cleanings (can train)
• Draw up injections and be able to administer them (can train)
• Blood draws (can train)
• Client education and care
• Lab sample collection and processing
• Medication preparation and administration
• Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
• Medical recordkeeping
• have some veterinary medical knowledge/background

The pay range for this position is $15.23-$23.14
