Job summary

VCA Central Kitsap Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our exceptional team. The role offers a full-time schedule (4 x 10-hour shifts with alternating weekends) and a pay range of $18-$21 per hour, negotiable based on experience, education, skills, and credentials.

As part of VCA, we provide high-quality veterinary care across preventive medicine, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and emergency/urgent care.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Veterinary Assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Restrain and safely handle pets for exams and treatments.
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Assist doctors and technicians with appointments and procedures.
• Collect patient histories and support client communication.
• Feed, walk, and monitor hospitalized pets.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital.
• Sterilize instruments and prepare surgical packs.
• Assist with laboratory samples and diagnostics.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Deliver compassionate care to patients and clients every day.

Compensation: $ 18 - $ 21 / hr and pay range is negotiable based on experience, education, skills, and credentials
