VCA Central Kitsap Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our exceptional team. Full-time, 4 x 10 hour shifts with alternating weekends, and $18–$21 per hour, negotiable based on experience and credentials.

We provide high-quality veterinary care and a collaborative environment where team members can learn and grow. As a Veterinary Assistant, you’ll support doctors and technicians, assist with treatments, and help create a positive experience for pets and their families.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Veterinary Assistant experience.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Restrain and safely handle pets for exams and treatments.
• Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas.
• Assist doctors and technicians with appointments and procedures.
• Collect patient histories and support client communication.
• Feed, walk, and monitor hospitalized pets.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital.
• Sterilize instruments and prepare surgical packs.
• Assist with laboratory samples and diagnostics.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
• Deliver compassionate care to patients and clients every day.
