Job summary

VCA Sayville Animal Hospital in Sayville, NY seeks a Veterinary Assistant for part-time shifts. Primary duties include assisting doctors, patient handling, and ensuring high-quality care for dogs, cats, and other pets. The role offers a supportive team and ongoing education opportunities.

Shifts include Monday and Wednesday 2-8, Friday 8-4, and alternating Saturdays 8-4, with competitive compensation of $19–$20 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Compensation: The pay range for this position is $19-$20/hr

Since 1986, our animal hospital in Sayville, New York, has helped hundreds of dogs, cats, and other family pets achieve happier, healthier lives. Sayville Animal Hospital offers veterinary services for small and large pets, providing the extra special medical care each of them needs. We proudly serve Sayville, Suffolk County, and the surrounding areas.

We are open Monday through Thursday 9am - 8pm, Friday 9am - 4pm, Saturday 9am - 1pm, closed Sunday.
