We operate a beautiful, modern, recently renovated small‑animal practice in Plantation. You will work side‑by‑side with our medical team, setting the tone for excellent patient care and smooth client workflows.
Low‑Stress Restraint: Safely and gently restrain dogs and cats for exams, blood draws, IV catheter placement, and treatments.
Vitals & Intake: Greet clients, escort them to exam rooms, collect detailed patient histories, and record accurate weights and vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration) in our digital records.
Lab & Pharmacy Assistance: Process laboratory samples (fecals, bloodwork) and help prepare medications and prescription labels under direct supervision.
Surgical Assistance: Clean, sanitize, and pack surgical instruments; utilize the autoclave, and help prep patients for procedures.
In‑Patient Comfort: Keep hospitalized and recovering pets clean, fed, watered, and safely walked.
Education: Confidently explain basic pet wellness needs to clients, including vaccine schedules, flea/tick preventatives, and routine heartworm testing.
Bilingual Communication: Use your English and Spanish skills to help our diverse South Florida clientele feel welcome, informed, and comfortable.
Experience: 1+ years of experience working in a veterinary practice or professional animal care environment preferred (but we will train the right attitude!).
Language: Fluency in both English and Spanish is highly preferred to support our local community.
Skills: Basic knowledge of animal behavior, safe handling techniques, and standard medical terminology.
Mindset: A compassionate, positive team player who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and isn't afraid to jump in wherever help is needed.
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
