Job summary

Morgan Pet Clinic in Southwest Omaha is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our compassionate team. This hands-on role supports veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures, and helps with medical records and client education.

We offer full-time hours with Monday–Friday availability and no weekends, plus a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401k with company match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years of veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel, or related role preferred.
  • Large animal experience preferred.
  • Ability to assist with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures; compassionate client communication.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation.
  • Review treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately.
  • Build positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll make a meaningful impact in the lives of pets and their families every day.

In This Position, You Will Take an Active Role In:

  • Assisting veterinarians during exams, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and treatment documentation
  • Reviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionately
  • Building positive client relationships through education, communication, and attentive service
  • Maintaining clean, organized, and fully prepared exam rooms, treatment areas, and procedural spaces

Schedule and Compensation:

  • Compensation: $17-$19 per hour, for each hour worked
  • This is afull-timeposition, with availability needed Monday-Friday.NO WEEKENDS!!

Full-Time Benefits Package*

Minimum Qualifications and Skill Set:

  • 1+ years of veterinary assistant, animal care, kennel, or related role preferred
  • Large animal experience preferred
  • Proficiency in the following skills:
    • Ability to assist with exams, treatments, and outpatient procedures
    • Compassionate, professional communication with clients and team members
    • Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
    • Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and restrain patients safely throughout the workday
