Palmetto Veterinary Hospital in Mount Pleasant, SC is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join a deeply community-focused practice within the Mission Pet Health network. You will support clinicians with hands-on patient care, client communication, and clinic upkeep in a fast-paced setting that values teamwork and ongoing learning.

You’ll contribute to high-quality care through handling a wide range of species, supporting routine procedures, and coordinating with the medical team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Calm and efficient approach in fast-paced environments.
• Confidence handling pets of all sizes.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with basic veterinary skills including lab, pharmacy, nursing, and radiology.

Responsibilities

• Provide Essential Patient Care: assist the medical team with hands-on care and compassionate handling of patients.
• Be the Go-To Support for the Medical Team: anticipate needs to ensure smooth, collaborative workflow.
• Create a Positive Client Experience: assist with scheduling, payments, and communications in a courteous manner.
