Job summary

Wagsandwhiskers Veterinary Clinic in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a friendly Veterinary Assistant to support the medical team and provide compassionate care to every patient. This role offers development opportunities through AVMA‑accredited programs and competitive compensation based on experience.

You will assist with routine clinical tasks, help veterinarians and technicians, manage client communications and payments, and keep the clinic safe, organized, and welcoming for pets of all sizes.

Qualifications

  • High-school diploma or equivalent.
  • Calm and efficient approach in fast-paced environments.
  • Confident handling of pets of all sizes and temperaments.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills (lab, pharmacy, nursing, radiology) is a strong asset.

  • Be the Go‑To Support for the Medical Team: Anticipate the needs of veterinarians and technicians to keep workflow efficient and collaborative.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills such as laboratory, pharmacy, nursing, and radiology is a strong asset.
