Job summary

Midland Animal Clinic in Poway, CA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician to join our busy, collaborative team. We offer an 8-doctor practice focused on compassionate medicine and lasting client relationships.

You will assist with appointments, collect samples, monitor hospitalized patients, and educate clients while maintaining medical records in a supportive, family-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Strong veterinary experience as a Veterinary Assistant or RVT.
• Comfort in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork with clients and staff.
• Positive attitude and commitment to patient care.
• Credentialing welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with appointments, treatments, and patient care.
• Collect samples, place IV catheters, monitor hospitalized patients.
• Restrain patients safely for exams and procedures.

What You\'ll Do

• Assist with appointments, treatments, and patient care
• Collect blood samples, place IV catheters, and monitor hospitalized patients
• Safely restrain patients for exams and procedures
• Administer medications under DVM or RVT supervision
• Educate clients and maintain accurate medical records
• Help keep our hospital running smoothly while delivering exceptional care

We\'re Looking For

• Strong veterinary experience as a Veterinary Assistant or RVT
• Confidence working in a busy, fast-paced hospital
• Excellent communication and teamwork
• A positive attitude and commitment to exceptional patient care
• Credentialing is welcomed but not required. We\'re looking for the right person with strong technical skills and veterinary experience.

Schedule

• Full-Time
• Five-day work week
• Rotating Saturdays
