Pet Care Center in Metairie, LA is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to support our seven DVM team in a busy, full-service small animal hospital.

You will provide essential patient care, assist with medical team, help with scheduling and client communications, and help maintain a safe, clean environment.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A calm and efficient approach, with the ability to handle a fast‑paced and sometimes stressful environment with composure.
• Confidence and skill in handling pets of all sizes and temperaments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Proficiency in fundamental veterinary skills ranging from laboratory and pharmacy to nursing and radiology is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

We focus on providing detailed Wellness and Prevention services, advanced Testing and Diagnostics, and specialized Surgical Procedures. Our team manages a stimulating caseload by providing critical Urgent Care and Emergency services seven days a week, offering immediate support to the local New Orleans area and expanding your opportunity to manage diverse and demanding medical challenges.
