Job summary

Medway Animal Hospital in Medway, MA seeks a full-time veterinary assistant to support our team. You will assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgeries, safely handle animals, collect lab samples, and educate clients, while keeping accurate records in a fast-paced, caring environment.

We offer competitive pay up to $22/hour based on experience, a referral program, and career development opportunities with CE programs provided by AmeriVet at no cost.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
• CVT/RVT/LVT preferred or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
• AVMA-accredited tech program preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Safely handle and restrain animals; administer medications and vaccines.
• Collect lab samples and maintain accurate patient records.
• Educate clients on pet care and maintain a clean, organized work area.
