Job summary

Riverbend Animal Hospital in Hadley, Massachusetts is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our AAHA-accredited team. You will work with a modern clinic to deliver high‑quality care, maintain medical records, prepare exam rooms and assist with surgery preparation.

The role emphasizes teamwork, multi-tasking, and reliable lifting ability. Compensation is $20.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience, with full benefit options and opportunities for professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones
• Keep accurate medical records in accordance with hospital policy
• Prepare and maintain the exam rooms and treatment areas
• Perform physical assessments and record observations
• Prepare estimates for procedures and discuss financial commitments with clients
• Explain necessary follow-up and home care instructions
• Stock clinic treatment area and exam rooms, and inform inventory manager when supplies need to be ordered
• Care for all surgical materials and keep the operating room properly stocked and prepared for surgery

Riverbend Animal Hospital is looking to add a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Assistant to our team. At our Rarebreed clinic, you can help reimagine the veterinary experience in your community. Location: Hadley, Massachusetts

Pay: $20.00-25.00 hourly based on experience

What you'll do

• Provide compassionate care to pet patients and their loved ones
