VCA Pleasant Bay Animal Hospital in Harwich, MA is seeking a full-time experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. We provide top-quality medical services, wellness exams, vaccines, diagnostics, dental procedures, radiography, and advanced orthopedic care.

Qualifications

• Must be an experienced Veterinary Assistant with strong patient care abilities.
• Excellent communication with clients and team members.
• Ability to assist with anesthesia, diagnostic imaging, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform veterinary technician duties including physical exams, patient assessment and recovery.
• Assist with anesthesia monitoring and IV fluid administration.
• Conduct hands-free radiology and diagnostic imaging.
• Communicate with clients and discharge instructions.

We have been serving pets and their people in the communities of Harwich, Chatham, Brewster, Dennis, Orleans, as well as other areas of the lower cape, since 1975. Our Animal Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital, that provides top quality medical services, bathing, wellness exams, preventative care, including vaccines, diagnostic services, spays, neuters, dental procedures, digital radiography including dental radiography, and advanced surgical orthopedic services

Compensation:

Compensation: $22 - $26 / hr based on skill set, experience, and licensure status

Potential Schedule:

Must include a Saturday rotation

Veterinary Technician Duties Include
