Dade City Animal Clinic, part of AmeriVet, is seeking a full-time veterinary assistant to join a dedicated team in Dade City, Florida. The ideal candidate will load exam rooms, take histories, and educate clients while calming and handling pets with a gentle, fear-free technique.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.

• AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.

Veterinary Assistant

Dade City Animal Clinic located in Dade City, Fl is actively seeking a full time veterinary assistant to join their amazing team. The ideal candidate will be confident loading rooms, taking histories, working well with a team, embraces client education and handles pets with a gentle, calm, and fear free technique. The skill set we are looking for is the ability to place IV caths, draw blood for in-house lab test, and understand how to properly do x-rays. If you are a skilled veterinary assistant looking to use your skill set and join a great team, we would love to hear from you.

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience as a veterinary technician or assistant.
• Strong animal handling skills and knowledge of clinical procedures.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Veterinary Technician Certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT) preferred - or eligibility to obtain licensure based on state requirements.
• Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.
