Job summary

Cleveland Park Animal Hospital in Greenville, SC is seeking an Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our medical team. Full-Time with four 10-hour shifts per week, including every fourth Saturday, plus holiday and weekend rotations.

You will support doctors and technicians to deliver outstanding care, restrain and handle animals, administer treatments, collect samples, and maintain patient records while ensuring a positive experience for clients.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Assistant is required.
  • Strong animal handling and patient care skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented practice.
  • Reliable, organized, and eager to learn.
  • Positive attitude with a willingness to help wherever needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support doctors and technicians throughout the day to provide outstanding patient care.
  • Assist veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures.
  • Administer treatments and medications as directed.
  • Collect laboratory samples and perform basic in-house diagnostics.
  • Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas for patient care.
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes to the medical team.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and communicate with clients about care.

Experienced Veterinary Assistant

Full-Time | Four 10-Hour Shifts

Cleveland Park Animal Hospital has been caring for Greenville's pets for generations, and we’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant to become an important part of our medical team. What You'll Do

As a Veterinary Assistant, you'll support our doctors and technicians throughout the day by helping provide outstanding care to patients while creating a positive experience for pet owners.

Your Responsibilities May Include
  • Safely restraining and handling canine and feline patients
  • Assisting veterinarians during examinations and medical procedures
  • Administering treatments and medications as directed
  • Collecting laboratory samples and performing basic in-house diagnostics
  • Preparing exam rooms and treatment areas for patient care
  • Monitoring hospitalized patients and reporting changes to the medical team
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Communicating clearly with clients about treatments, medications, and follow-up care
  • Assisting with cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital, including treatment, boarding, and grooming areas
