About the Opportunity

Veterinary Assistants are responsible for ensuring that clients and patients receive excellent care at every visit.

As a Veterinary Assistant you will:

  • Assist veterinarians in appointments and surgery.
  • Perform technical duties such as venipuncture, proper restraint, radiographic positioning, fill medications, and anesthetic monitoring.
  • Provide client education in pet care, so you must be well versed in regards to various medical procedures and preventive care for pets.
  • Create and communicate medical treatment plans.
Who We’re Looking For a Team Member

Caring, compassionate individuals with:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Be able to handle a high paced environment and be a successful multitasker
  • Possess a high level of interest in customer service and the ability to communicate with clients and fellow team members not just pets
  • The ability to meet the physical demands of working a shift standing, squatting, walking, lifting and carrying 40 lbs unassisted
  • The ability to work around substances such as animal saliva, blood, urine, fecal material, vomit, etc.
  • Comfortable and able to work with all breeds, temperaments, and sizes of dogs and cats
  • At least one year experience working in a veterinary hospital environment.
