Job summary

Arlington South Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join our team. This role supports all departments as the primary team member assisting with client and patient care. We offer hands-on training and opportunities to grow toward a veterinary technician position.

You’ll work closely with the veterinary team, handle dogs and cats safely, and help with exams, procedures, and lab work while delivering excellent customer service to clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

• Assist the veterinary team with patient care and daily hospital operations.
• Restrain and handle dogs and cats safely and compassionately.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain a clean, organized treatment area.
• Assist with appointments, treatments, and procedures.
• Collect and prepare laboratory samples.
• Help with patient cleaning, feeding, and general care.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients and their pets.
• Learn new skills and progressively take on additional technician responsibilities.
