BluePearl Pet Hospital in Framingham, MA is expanding its anesthesia team and seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to contribute to advanced surgical and diagnostic anesthesia plans. This brand new hospital offers a 4x10 schedule and a pay range of $24.25–$49.00 per hour, with advancement through a competency assessment tool.

Qualifications

• Experience as a veterinary technician with anesthesia and perioperative care.
• Familiarity with anesthesia procedures and monitoring equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with advanced surgical and diagnostic anesthesia plans and procedures.
• Monitor anesthesia throughout surgeries and respond to complications.
• Manage perioperative care including pre-op, induction, monitoring, recovery, and pain management.
• Perform patient assessments and document findings.
• Place and manage IV catheters, endotracheal intubation, and fluid therapy.
• Monitor fluid therapy and recognize complications.
• Provide anesthesia support for complex cases including oncologic procedures.
• Maintain medical records and coordinate patient discharge.
