Job summary

The Anatomy Technician at the University of Arizona supports the CVM educational mission by maintaining teaching specimens, assisting with gross anatomy labs, and coordinating with instructors across courses. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years in animal husbandry, healthcare, or an anatomy lab.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain teaching specimens including cadaver and ex-situ inventory, prosections, skeletal specimens, and models.
• Assist anatomy team in lab setup, exams, and demonstrations.
• Coordinate specimens for upcoming courses and events.
• Provide high quality support to the anatomy team and CVM students.
• Manage inventory, procure supplies, transport specimens, and maintain lab equipment.
• Ensure adherence to laboratory safety protocols.
• Support class facilitation and live animal handling labs as needed.
• Coordinate with RLSS, Biosafety, and central facilities for regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with CVM teams to provide seamless support.
